A latest career launching has been initiated
by North Eastern Railway (NER), Varanasi for the appointment of Apprentices in
various trades. Eligible and interested persons may put forward their
applications in the prescribed format on or before 15th June 2016.
The details regarding post, eligibility criteria, selection process and method
to apply are indicated hereunder:-

Essential
Academic Qualification – Candidates should have passed
High School (10+2) examination or equivalent with at least 50% marks and ITI
certificate in relevant trade approved by National Council of Vocational
Training (NCVT).
Age
Limit – Candidates should be in the age group of 15
years and 24 years as on date of notification. The upper age limit is relaxable
by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
Criteria
of Selection – Candidates will be selected based
on merit. The applicants having higher merit which will be calculated on the
basis of marks obtained in Matriculation & ITI will be appointed.
Note
–
Training for the above mentioned jobs will be conducted at Mechanical Coaching
Depot/Workshop in Manduadin (Varanasi) and Chhapra.
Application/Processing
Fee – Candidates applying for the post of Apprentice
will be required to make payment of Rs. 100/- by way of Indian Postal Order
(IPO). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category are exempted from payment of
fee.

format along with self attested copies of all the supporting documents stated
below should be submitted in a sealed envelope superscripted with the name of the
post applied for latest by 15th June 2016 to the address given
